αvβ3 Antagonist

SC-68448 is a selective antagonist of the αvβ3 integrin, exhibiting an IC50 value of 1 nM. It inhibits αvβ3-mediated endothelial cell proliferation and reduces the total level of αvβ6 in normal human bronchial epithelial (NHBE) cells. In preclinical models, SC-68448 effectively inhibits angiogenesis in a rat corneal neoplasia model and suppresses tumor growth while completely preventing hypercalcemia in a rat Ledich cell tumor model. This compound is a valuable tool for research in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases as well as various cancers, including testicular interstitial cell tumors.
