Schizanrin D

Anti-HBeAg Agent

Schizanrin D is a C18 dibenzocyclooctadiene lignan known for its role as an anti-HBeAg agent. It is isolated from the dried stems of Kadsura matsudai and effectively inhibits the production of hepatitis B envelope antigen (HBeAg). While Schizanrin D demonstrates significant potential in hepatitis research, it has been found inactive against HIV replication in vitro.
