Selcopintide

Dentin Production Promoter

Selcopintide is a synthetic peptide derived from the hCPNE7 protein, specifically corresponding to the 10 amino acid fragment of residues 344-353. This compound acts as a dentin production promoter by upregulating key odontoblast marker genes such as DSPP and Nestin. Selcopintide is effective in promoting dentin regeneration in dentinal defects, resulting in regenerated hard tissue that exhibits the histological characteristics of true dentin. Its applications include studies focused on dental tissue engineering and regenerative dentistry.
