SH491

Antiosteoporosis Agent

SH491 is an antiosteoporosis agent that inhibits receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL)-induced differentiation of osteoclasts from bone-marrow-derived monocytes (BMMs) with an IC50 value of 11.8 nM. This compound downregulates the expression of osteoclastogenesis-related marker genes, including TRAP, CTSK, MMP-9, and ATPase v0d2, as well as their associated protein products. SH491 may be valuable for research focused on osteoporosis and related bone disorders.
