Antitumor Agent
SHetA2 is a heteroarotinoid derivative that serves as an antitumor agent, demonstrating notable cytotoxicity in cancer cells with an IC50 range of 0.37–4.6 μM. This compound induces apoptosis via the intrinsic mitochondrial pathway, promotes cancer cell differentiation, and effectively halts the cell cycle in the G2 phase. SHetA2 also shows promising pharmacokinetic properties and demonstrates significant antitumor efficacy in murine models. Its oral bioavailability enhances its applicability in research settings focused on cancer therapeutics.
