Silybin B
Anti-cancer Agent
Silybin B is a potent anti-cancer agent that functions as an amyloid-β aggregation inhibitor and activator of the ATR pathway. This compound effectively inhibits Aβ fibril formation while facilitating the formation of amorphous aggregates, contributing to its neuroprotective effects. Silybin B also modulates the ATR-mediated DNA damage repair pathway and inhibits JNK/p38 MAPK signaling, thereby reducing Cisplatin-induced neuronal DNA damage and apoptosis. Its properties make it particularly valuable for research in Alzheimer's disease and chemotherapy-related neurotoxicity.
