Simufilam dihydrochloride

FLNA Modulator

Simufilam dihydrochloride is an orally active modulator of filamin A (FLNA) that functions by restoring normal FLNA conformation. This compound enhances N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) signaling and Arc expression while inhibiting overactive mTOR signaling pathways. Additionally, Simufilam dihydrochloride improves insulin sensitivity and reduces neuroinflammation and tau hyperphosphorylation induced by Aβ42. It is primarily utilized in research focused on Alzheimer's disease.
