Anti-Cancer Agent
Skullcapflavone I is a natural compound with anti-cancer properties derived from A. nallamalayana. It demonstrates inhibitory effects on collagenase and elastase enzymes, with IC50 values of 106.74 μM and 186.70 μM, respectively. Additionally, Skullcapflavone I has been shown to exert anticancer activities by down-regulating the microRNA miR-23a, making it a valuable reagent for research in cancer biology and therapeutic development.
