SM875
PrP Degrader
SM875 is a potent degrader of the cellular prion protein (PrP), exhibiting an IC50 of 7.87 μM. It selectively targets PrP folding intermediates and facilitates their degradation via the autophagy-lysosomal pathway. Notably, SM875 acts exclusively on nascent, immature PrP molecules, showing no impact on the mature form. This compound holds promise for inhibiting prion replication and is valuable for research into neurodegenerative diseases, particularly prion disorders.
