SMA-12b

Immunomodulator

SMA-12b is a small molecule immunomodulator derived from the parasitic worm compound ES-62. It exhibits significant regulatory effects on the expression of genes involved in inflammatory responses, particularly reducing the expression of the cytokine IL-1β. This action is mediated via the NRF2 pathway, effectively inhibiting IL-1β production. SMA-12b is intended for use in research applications focused on rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders.
