SMTIN-T140

TRAP1 Inhibitor

SMTIN-T140 is a selective inhibitor of TRAP1 (tumor-necrosis-factor-receptor associated protein 1) with an IC50 of 1.646 μM. This compound exhibits significant anticancer activity by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction, increasing mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). In in vivo studies, SMTIN-T140 effectively suppressed tumor growth in a mouse model xenografted with PC3 prostate cancer cells, demonstrating minimal toxicity. It serves as a valuable tool for investigating TRAP1's role in cancer biology and as a potential therapeutic agent.
