Snail IN-1

Snail Inhibitor

Snail IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of the Snail transcription factor, exhibiting a binding affinity (Ka) of 0.36 μM. This compound disrupts the interaction between Snail and CBP, promoting Snail protein degradation, enhancing polyubiquitination, and leading to a selective downregulation of Snail without affecting other epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) transcription factors. Snail IN-1 demonstrates significant anti-inflammatory effects and improves plaque stability by reducing atherosclerotic plaque burden and modulating inflammatory factors such as CCL5, CXCL10, MMP2, and MMP9, while upregulating α-smooth muscle actin. It serves as a valuable tool in researching atherosclerosis and related inflammatory processes.
