SNAP-6201

α1a Adrenoceptor Antagonist

SNAP-6201 is a selective α1a adrenoceptor antagonist with a binding affinity (Ki) of 0.2 nM, demonstrating over 1400-fold selectivity against α1b and α1d adrenoceptors. This compound effectively decreases intraurethral pressure (IUP) in anesthetized canine models. SNAP-6201 is valuable for research into benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and provides insights into therapeutic interventions targeting α1a adrenoceptor pathways.
