Sp-8-Br-cGMPS

CNG Channel Agonist

Sp-8-Br-cGMPS is an analog of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) that functions as an agonist for cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channels (CNG channels). With an EC50 value of 106.5 μM, Sp-8-Br-cGMPS induces ionic currents through these channels, although it does not stabilize the open state of the channel like a full agonist would. This compound is valuable for researching CNG channel physiology and the role of cGMP signaling in various biological processes.
