SP-Chymostatin B
Proteases/Elastase Inhibitor
SP-Chymostatin B is a potent inhibitor of various proteases, specifically targeting chymotrypsin, papain, and chymotrypsin-like serine proteinases. Additionally, it effectively inhibits several lysosomal cysteine proteinases, including cathepsins A, B, C, H, and L. While its inhibitory effect on human leukocyte elastase is comparatively weak, SP-Chymostatin B serves as a valuable tool in research investigating protease activity and related biological processes.
