SR 142948
NT Antagonist
SR 142948 is a selective, orally active non-peptide neurotensin receptor (NT) antagonist. It effectively inhibits NT-mediated inositol monophosphate formation in HT-29 cells with an IC50 of 3.9 nM, and demonstrates potent blocking of neurotensin-induced hypothermia, analgesia, and altered steering behavior in vivo. Its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier makes SR 142948 a valuable tool for investigating the role of neurotensin in psychiatric disorders and related research applications.
