SRI-42127

HuR Translocation Inhibitor

SRI-42127 is a selective HuR translocation inhibitor that interferes with the binding of HuR to adenine-rich elements (AREs) in mRNA. By destabilizing mRNA and inhibiting gene promoter activation, SRI-42127 effectively reduces the production of inflammatory cytokines in glial cells. Additionally, this compound suppresses microglial cell activation and attenuates the recruitment and chemotaxis of neutrophils and monocytes, making it a valuable tool for studying inflammatory processes in neurological research.
