STARD3 Inhibitor
STARD3-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of the STARD3 protein, exhibiting an IC₅₀ value of 35 μM. This protein is known to be overexpressed in various cancer types and plays a critical role in cholesterol transport. STARD3-IN-1 demonstrates significant anti-proliferative effects in breast and colon cancer cell lines, effectively impairing their clonogenic potential. Additionally, this compound influences the expression levels of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and phosphorylated FAK at tyrosine 397, making it a valuable tool for research in cancer biology.
