Sudemycin K

SF3B1 Inhibitor

Sudemycin K is a selective inhibitor targeting the splicing factor SF3B1. It disrupts the recognition of branch point sequences in pre-mRNA by U2 snRNP, leading to tumor-specific splicing deregulation and subsequent apoptosis. Sudemycin K is particularly relevant for research on SF3B1-mutated malignancies, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).
