Syringolin A

Plant Elicitor

Syringolin A functions as a plant elicitor produced by the pathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae. It demonstrates anti-proliferative activity against various cancer cell lines, with IC50 values of 20-25 µM for SK-N-SH, LAN-1, and SKOV3 cells. Additionally, Syringolin A induces apoptosis in SK-N-SH cells via the upregulation of p53 expression and downregulation of Akt/PKB proteins, making it a valuable tool for cancer research and studies on plant-pathogen interactions.
