Talfirastide acetate
Vasodilator Agent
Talfirastide acetate is a potent vasodilator agent that acts primarily through modulation of the renin-angiotensin system. This compound exhibits cardioprotective effects, demonstrating anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic activities in cardiac cells. Talfirastide acetate inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity, thereby promoting nitric oxide release and modulating kinin-induced vasodilation. Additionally, it effectively inhibits angiotensin II-induced smooth muscle cell proliferation and hypertrophy, while also displaying antiangiogenic properties relevant for cardiovascular research.
