Taltirelin acetate

TRH-R Superagonist

Taltirelin acetate is an acetate derivative of Taltirelin, functioning as a superagonist of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone receptor (TRH-R). This compound effectively increases cytosolic Ca2+ concentration with an EC50 of 36 nM, enhancing cell viability and reducing apoptosis in neurodegenerative models. Taltirelin exhibits neuroprotective effects in cellular and animal models of Parkinson's disease, and it also alleviates fatigue-like behaviors in mouse models associated with cancer-related fatigue, making it valuable for research in neurobiology and cancer therapeutics.
