TAS-4

iGluR

TAS-4 is a highly selective positive allosteric modulator of mGluR4, demonstrating significant activity in models of Parkinson's disease. It effectively reverses haloperidol-induced spasticity when administered alone and enhances contralateral rotation behavior in a dose-dependent manner when combined with l-DOPA. Notably, TAS-4 in conjunction with low-dose l-DOPA exhibits anti-Parkinson's effects comparable to those of higher doses of l-DOPA without increasing abnormal motor side effects, making it a valuable tool for Parkinson's disease research.
