Tasronetide

NRP1/Plexin-A1 Receptor Inhibitor

Tasronetide is a selective inhibitor of the NRP1/Plexin-A1 receptor system, specifically targeting their transmembrane domains. By disrupting the heterodimerization of the NRP1/Plexin-A1 complex, Tasronetide counteracts the inhibitory effects of Sema3A on oligodendrocyte migration and differentiation, leading to enhanced myelin sheath formation around axons. This compound is valuable for research in chronic optic neuropathy and may facilitate the recruitment and maturation of oligodendrocyte precursors.
