PrP C Inhibitor
TCS PrP Inhibitor 13 is an inhibitor of the cellular prion protein (PrPC) and functions as an antiprion agent. It effectively reduces the accumulation of the protease-resistant form of prion protein (PrP-res), exhibiting an IC50 value of 3 nM in ScN2a and F3 cell lines. Additionally, TCS PrP Inhibitor 13 promotes apoptosis in Schwannoma cells, making it a valuable tool for research into prion diseases and associated neurodegenerative conditions.
