Telocinobufagin

Anticancer Agent

Telocinobufagin is a potent bufadienolide that targets and inhibits key signaling pathways including STAT3, JAK2/STAT3, LARP1-mTOR, PI3K/Akt/Snail, and PLK1, contributing to its antitumor activity against a variety of cancers such as non-small cell carcinoma, osteosarcoma, thyroid cancer, breast cancer, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Its ability to induce tumor cell apoptosis further enhances its therapeutic potential. Additionally, Telocinobufagin modulates the immune response, enhances Th1 activity, and exhibits cardiac stimulation by inhibiting Na+/K+-ATPase. Its analgesic properties make it relevant in acute pain research, showcasing a diverse range of biological activities for potential therapeutic applications.
