Tetramethylpyrazine nitrone

Tetramethylpyrazine Derivative

Tetramethylpyrazine nitrone is a nitrone derivative of tetramethylpyrazine that acts as a potent scavenger of free radicals. It demonstrates neuroprotective activity in ischemic stroke models in both rats and monkeys. In addition, tetramethylpyrazine nitrone has been shown to suppress the overexpression of the neuroinflammatory marker vimentin, making it a valuable candidate for research into neurodegenerative diseases and inflammation-related conditions.
