Tetrazanbigen

Antineoplastic Agent

Tetrazanbigen is a selective antineoplastic agent that demonstrates significant antitumor efficacy across multiple human cancer cell lines, exhibiting IC50 values ranging from 2.13 to 8.01 μg/mL, while sparing normal hepatocytes with an IC50 of 11.25 μg/mL. This compound induces S phase cell cycle arrest and promotes apoptosis specifically in QGY-7701 cells. Tetrazanbigen's antitumor activity is attributed to its ability to stimulate lipid accumulation within cancer cells, presenting valuable applications in cancer research and therapeutic development.
