TfR-1 Inhibitor
TfR-1-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of transferrin receptor 1 (TfR-1) that exhibits significant anticancer activity. By effectively increasing intracellular iron (II) levels, it serves as a catalyst for the induction of ferroptosis. This compound demonstrates notable cytotoxic effects on ovarian cancer (A2780cis), breast cancer (MDA-MB-231), and leukemia (HL-60) cell lines, with IC50 values of 0.51, 0.46, and 0.48 μM, respectively, making it a valuable tool for cancer research and therapeutic studies.
