TGase2-IN-1 is a selective inhibitor of transglutaminase 2 (TGase2) with an IC50 of 1.12 μM, demonstrating potent inhibition in human retinal microvascular endothelial cells at an IC50 of 0.07 μM. This compound exhibits 74.6% oral bioavailability, making it suitable for in vivo studies. TGase2-IN-1 has shown efficacy in reducing retinal vascular leakage in a mouse model of diabetes induced by Streptozotocin, highlighting its potential for research in diabetic retinopathy and related vascular disorders.
