Tosylate-DPA-714
TSPO Ligand
Tosylate-DPA-714 is a specific ligand for the 18 kDa translocator protein (TSPO) with an affinity of Ki 7.0 nM. This GMP-grade precursor is optimized for the radiosynthesis of DPA-714, enabling the formation of 18F-DPA-714 through nucleophilic aliphatic substitution with fluorine-18. It effectively crosses the blood-brain barrier and is utilized in PET molecular imaging to assess neuroinflammation linked to microglial activation in neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Notably, Tosylate-DPA-714 exhibits steroidogenic activity and does not interact with central benzodiazepine receptors, ensuring safe targeting for in vivo studies.
