TP-9201

GP IIb/IIIa Receptor Antagonist

TP-9201 is a potent antagonist of the glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa receptor, which plays a crucial role in platelet aggregation. By inhibiting the interaction between GP IIb/IIIa and fibrinogen, TP-9201 effectively suppresses platelet aggregation, showing significant activity against adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced aggregation in various animal models, including humans (IC50 = 1-3 μM), baboons, and dogs, while demonstrating reduced effectiveness in rabbits and rats. This compound can be utilized in research focused on preventing rethrombosis following arterial thrombolysis.
