trans-2-Decenal

Helicobacter pylori urease Inhibitor

trans-2-Decenal is a potent urease inhibitor targeting Helicobacter pylori, exhibiting an IC50 of 9.484 μg/mL. This compound demonstrates significant antibacterial activity against H. pylori, reducing urease activity and impacting bacterial morphology by inducing cell rupture, inhibiting biofilm formation, and decreasing migratory capabilities. Additionally, trans-2-Decenal disrupts cellular integrity in Phytophthora capsici, triggering reactive oxygen species accumulation and impairing mitochondrial function. Its applications extend to research on Helicobacter pylori and plant diseases associated with Phytophthora capsici.
