TRAP1-IN-1
TRAP1 Inhibitor
TRAP1-IN-1 is a selective inhibitor of TRAP1, a mitochondrial isoform of Hsp90, exhibiting over 250-fold selectivity for TRAP1 compared to Grp94. It functions by destabilizing TRAP1 tetramers, leading to the degradation of TRAP1 client proteins. Additionally, TRAP1-IN-1 inhibits mitochondrial complex I of oxidative phosphorylation, disrupts mitochondrial membrane potential, and enhances glycolytic metabolism. This compound is valuable for research on mitochondrial function, cancer metabolism, and the role of chaperone proteins in cellular stress responses.
