ASGPR Ligand
Tri-GalNAc(OAc)3 TFA is a trivalent N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) derivative that serves as a ligand for the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR). This compound facilitates the endocytosis and lysosomal degradation of cell surface proteins, such as EGFR and HER2, through lysosomal targeting chimeras (LYTACs). Tri-GalNAc effectively reduces target protein levels and inhibits downstream signaling pathways, including EGFR-mediated Akt and MAPK pathways. Its applications include hepatocyte targeting studies and the potential to degrade oncogenic membrane proteins, thus inhibiting tumor cell proliferation in liver cancer models.
