Trioxsalen

DNA Crosslinker

Trioxsalen is a photochemical DNA crosslinker, primarily targeting cellular DNA upon activation with near ultraviolet light. This psoralen derivative is employed in research applications related to vitiligo and hand eczema, facilitating the study of skin conditions through its photosensitizing properties. Additionally, Trioxsalen enables the visualization of genomic interstrand cross-links, allowing for precise localization in studies involving laser photoactivation.
