Tripalmitolein

Tripalmitolein is a triacylglycerol that contains palmitoleic acid at the sn-1, sn-2, and sn-3 positions, primarily serving as a biochemical assay reagent. It demonstrates a concentration-dependent reduction in erythrocyte deformability, as shown in the Reid filtration assay. Elevated hepatic levels of Tripalmitolein are associated with hepatic steatosis in JAK2L mouse models, while reduced plasma levels have been observed in patients with predialysis renal disease, highlighting its potential relevance in metabolic research.
