TTFB

ZAC Antagonist

TTFB is a selective, non-competitive antagonist of the zinc-activated channel (ZAC). It effectively inhibits ZAC currents induced by Zn²⁺ and H⁺, exhibiting IC50 values of 3 μM and 8.5 μM, respectively, and demonstrates an IC50 of 4.7 μM against spontaneous channel activity. TTFB shows no significant activity on classical Cys-loop receptors, such as m5-HT3AR, hα3β4 nAChR, hα1β2γ2S GABAAR, and hα1 GlyR. This compound is valuable for studying the physiological and pathological roles of ZAC in various biological contexts.
