TX-1918

eEF2 Kinase Inhibitor

TX-1918 is a selective inhibitor of eukaryotic elongation factor 2 kinase (eEF2-K) and also targets Src kinase, demonstrating IC50 values of 0.44 µM and 4.4 µM, respectively. This compound exhibits cytotoxic effects on HepG2 and HCT116 cell lines, with IC50 values of 2.07 µM and 230 µM. Additionally, TX-1918 inhibits the C-terminal domain of HIV-1 capsid protein (CA CTD) with an IC50 of 3.81 µM and displays antiviral activity by reducing viral replication (IC50 = 15.16 µM). Its biological activity makes it a valuable tool for research in cancer and virology.
