Ucf-101
Omi/HtrA2 Inhibitor
Ucf-101 is a selective and competitive inhibitor of the pro-apoptotic protease Omi/HtrA2, demonstrating an IC50 of 9.5 μM for His-Omi. This compound exhibits minimal activity against other serine proteases, with an IC50 greater than 200 μM. Ucf-101 possesses inherent red fluorescence at 543 nm, facilitating the monitoring of cellular uptake in mammalian cells. Additionally, Ucf-101 shows significant cardioprotective effects against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury and offers neuroprotective properties, making it valuable for cardiovascular and neurobiology research applications.
