UCK2 Inhibitor-3

UCK2 Inhibitor

UCK2 Inhibitor-3 is a non-competitive inhibitor of uridine-cytidine kinase 2 (UCK2), a key enzyme involved in the pyrimidine salvage pathway, exhibiting an IC50 of 16.6 μM. By targeting UCK2, this compound disrupts nucleotide metabolism, particularly in rapidly dividing or infected cells, thereby affecting cellular proliferation. Additionally, UCK2 Inhibitor-3 demonstrates inhibitory activity against DNA polymerases eta and kappa, with IC50 values of 56 μM and 16 μM, respectively. This makes it a valuable tool for studying nucleotide biosynthesis and its implications in cancer and viral infections.
