Ulefnersen sodium
FUS Synthesis Reducer
Ulefnersen sodium is a targeted antisense oligonucleotide that specifically modulates the fused-in sarcoma (FUS) gene by silencing the 6th intron of its transcript. This compound effectively reduces FUS protein levels in the brain and spinal cord of disease-relevant mouse models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS-FUS), thereby delaying the progression of motor neuron degeneration. Ulefnersen sodium is valuable for research in ALS and other conditions associated with FUS dysregulation.
