Uniconazole

Cytochrome P450 Inhibitor

Uniconazole, a selective inhibitor of cytochrome P450 enzymes, primarily targets ABA 8’-hydroxylase, exhibiting an IC50 of 68 nM. This compound serves as a competitive inhibitor of CYP707A3 with a Ki value of 8 nM. Uniconazole effectively inhibits gibberellin and, to a lesser extent, brassinosteroid biosynthesis, making it a valuable tool in studies of plant growth regulation and developmental processes. Its application extends to research exploring the modulation of plant hormones.
