UPG-111

UTR Negative Allosteric Regulator

UPG-111 is a peptide that functions as a negative allosteric regulator of the Urotensin II receptor (UTR). It effectively inhibits vasoconstriction caused by UTR agonists by decreasing both the peak response and agonist sensitivity. Notably, UPG-111 does not trigger calcium release or induce contraction in endothelium-deprived rat aortic rings. This compound is valuable for investigating diseases associated with the angiotensinergic system.
