Uridine triacetate

Uridine Prodrug

Uridine triacetate is an orally active prodrug of uridine that functions as a uridine proagent. Upon ingestion, it is swiftly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and subsequently deacetylated in circulation to release free uridine. This compound is primarily utilized in research focused on mitigating toxicity associated with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and capecitabine, as well as studying early-onset cardiac and central nervous system effects.
