Uvaol

Triterpene

Uvaol is a triterpene derived from olives and virgin olive oil that exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in astroglioma cells, demonstrating potential anti-cancer activity. Additionally, Uvaol effectively reduces pleuritis and eosinophilic inflammation in ovalbumin-induced allergic models in mice, making it relevant for research in cancer biology and allergic response mechanisms.
