VCP/p97 Inhibitor-1 is a selective inhibitor of the VCP/p97 ATPase, demonstrating an IC50 of 54.7 nM. This compound disrupts protein homeostasis and impedes the degradation of misfolded proteins via the ubiquitin-proteasome system. VCP/p97 Inhibitor-1 is valuable for studying cellular stress responses, proteostasis, and the roles of VCP/p97 in various disease models.
