Vicadrostat

Aldosterone Synthase Inhibitor

Vicadrostat is an orally active inhibitor of aldosterone synthase, exhibiting IC50 values of 19 nM, 16 nM, and 18 μM against human, cynomolgus monkey, and rat aldosterone synthase, respectively. This compound demonstrates a favorable in vivo IC50 of 25 nM for inhibiting aldosterone synthesis, providing high selectivity for cortisol synthase. Vicadrostat effectively reduces aldosterone production and decreases plasma aldosterone levels, making it a valuable reagent for research in chronic kidney disease, heart failure, and hypertension.
