Vicenin 3

ACE Inhibitor

Vicenin 3 is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor with an IC50 of 46.91 μM, sourced from the aerial parts of Desmodium styracifolium. This compound has demonstrated the ability to mitigate interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β)-induced extracellular matrix degradation in SW1353 chondrocytes by modulating the MAPK signaling pathway. Vicenin 3 is relevant for research applications focusing on osteoarthritis (OA) and hypertension, providing insights into the mechanisms of these conditions.
