Vulpinic acid

ROS Inhibitor

Vulpinic acid, a lichen-derived metabolite, acts as a reactive oxygen species (ROS) inhibitor by reducing H2O2-induced ROS production and associated oxidative stress in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). This compound demonstrates antibacterial activity against staphylococci, enterococci, and anaerobic bacteria. Vulpinic acid is an important tool for research into atherosclerosis and other oxidative stress-related conditions.
